1. Welfare & Maturity Terms

Maturity

  1. Medical: 90 days (3 months) after 1st month contribution.
  2. Last Expense: 120 days (4 months) after the 1st month contribution.
  3. Medical Above 75 Years: 90 days (3 months) after 1st month contribution.
  4. Last Expense Above 75 Years: 10 months after 1st month contribution.

Terms and Conditions (Welfare)

  1. GRACE PARTH WELFARE only caters for INPATIENT medical bills in our medical package.
  2. A member must be actively remitting their monthly subscriptions, including for the month of admission.
  3. A member must have been with the welfare for a period of 3 months for purposes of inpatient medical scheme - from the first date of remitting their first monthly subscription.
  4. A member must have been with the welfare for a period of 4 months for purposes of Last Expense scheme - from the first date of remitting their first monthly subscriptions.
  5. A member who is 70 years and above must have been with the welfare for a period of 10 months for the purpose of last expense scheme - from the first date of remitting their monthly subscriptions.
  6. The next of Kin for members who are above 70 years MUST also be active members of the welfare. Either separately or jointly.
  7. The annual maximum available for spend in the medical package will be divided among the beneficiaries. Each beneficiary will have equal share. See rule 9, 10 and 11 below.
  8. For the first hospital visit/admission, GRACE PARTH WELFARE will top up total members contribution with Kshs.3,000 to pay for the bill accrued - the member shall cater for the rest of the bill if it's in excess of the above sum. This rule applies to members with less than Kshs.10,000 in their accounts.
  9. The annual maximum available for spend will be paid in the ratio of 30:30:40 in case of any inpatient medical bill for categories Solo Grace, Elder Grace, Gold and Diamond, whose total contribution will be more than Kshs.10,000 at the point of admission.
  10. The maximum available for spend will be paid in the ratio 40:30:30 in case of any inpatient medical bill for the rest of the categories; Bronze, Alpha, Bronze Extra and Extra Alpha Plus, whose total contribution will be more than Kshs.10,000 at the point of admission.
  11. For return patients for periods running less than 3 months; GRACE PARTH WELFARE shall only top up Kshs.1,500 for those members whose contributions will be below Kshs.10,000 - while rules 9 and 10 shall be translated in the ratio 15:15:20 and 20:15:15 respectively.
  12. GRACE PARTH WELFARE only partners with government run public hospitals; select mission hospitals and community health centers affiliated with recognized religious institutions.
  13. GRACE PARTH WELFARE will not cater for medical bills arising from surgical operations of any kind (with exemption of cesarian section) X-rays CT-SCANS and any pre-existing conditions. In this case, GRACE PARTH WELFARE shall only offset bed charges for her members.
  14. GRACE PARTH WELFARE will not cater for inpatient medical bills or last expense bills of children below 3 months.
  15. All INPATIENT cases should be reported on the day of admission - GRACE PARTH shall not be held liable for claims reported during hospital discharge - our rates and regulations will still apply.
  16. Our default period for both medical and funeral expenses is 30 Days - exclusive of the month of need.
  17. In case of any default in Monthly subscriptions the grace period for qualifications on our services will resume afresh from the new date of monthly subscription for a period of 3 months for Inpatient Scheme, 4 months for the last expense for under 70 years, and 10 months for the last expense scheme for over 70 years - subject to waivers as shall be communicated from time to time.
  18. GRACE PARTH WELFARE shall only cater for three funerals per family, per year. The funerals unless accident cases shall be spaced four months apart.
  19. GRACE PARTH WELFARE shall not convert her services to cash or monetary equivalent of the service - we shall only provide the listed services, and in cases where the services will have been provided.
  20. In cases where a member is in another organization, offering similar services as GRACE PARTH WELFARE, we shall not offer the same services or convert to monetary value or cash. We shall only offer the additional services that the said organization is not offering.
  21. GRACE PARTH WELFARE shall attend to all qualified funeral claims reported 7 days to the date of burial, on all reports falling below 7days - We will request the family to push the burial date forward to accommodate our 7DAYS NOTICE to enable facilitate our services and logistics.

2. Loan Terms

Emergency Loans

  • Interest rate: 5% non-reducing on the principal amount.
  • Maximum repayment period: six (6) months.
  • Members must have contributed consistently for at least six (6) months to qualify.
  • Loan amount shall not exceed three (3) times the member's total accumulated savings.
  • One active emergency loan per member at any time.

Development Loans

  • Interest rate: 1% non-reducing on the principal amount.
  • Maximum repayment period: five (5) years.
  • Members must have contributed consistently for at least twelve (12) months to qualify.
  • A feasibility assessment may be required for large loan requests.
  • Must be secured by a guarantor who is also a registered member in good standing.

General Loan Conditions

  • All loans must be approved by the Loans Committee before disbursement.
  • Late repayments will incur a penalty of 2% of the overdue amount per month.
  • Defaulting on a loan for more than three (3) months may result in recovery action, including deduction from savings.
  • Members with outstanding loan defaults are ineligible for new loans until the default is fully resolved.
  • The association reserves the right to adjust loan limits and interest rates with adequate notice to members.

3. Annual In-Kind Envelope Conditions

  1. In-kind envelope is a product of the last expense and hybrid packages only.
  2. Activation and annual subscription are strictly by [...].
  3. Maturity period is 180 Days for members below 70 years and 10 months for members above 70 years. The maturity period is calculated from the date of the last instalment.
  4. A member has the option of paying twice but strictly within 60 days after activation for those members below 70 years. Members above 70 years have the option of paying 4 times but within 120 Days of activation.
  5. The beneficiary for this product MUST be an active member of the welfare association (Last expense or hybrid package).
  6. GRACE PARTH shall only compensate 2 funerals for the in-kind envelope per family annually.
  7. The next of kin of members who are over 70 years must also be active members of the welfare and in-kind packages.
  8. In cases where more than 1 next of kin takes the product for a sole or a particular member, then GRACE PARTH will only compensate with one envelope.
  9. The presentation of the dummy check can, and will be used for our marketing activities.
  10. IN-KIND envelope is an annual contract between GRACE PARTH and the member. It can only be terminated or renewed after 12 months of activation.
  11. No monies will be refunded by GRACE PARTH WELFARE in case a member decided to terminate membership.

4. Farm Input Support Conditions

Eligibility

  • Members must have consistent contributions for at least six (6) months to qualify for farm input support.
  • Must demonstrate active engagement in farming activities (own or leased land).
  • Must participate in at least two (2) association-organized agricultural training sessions per year.

Input Supply & Subsidized Loans

  • Farm inputs are provided on a subsidized basis; members pay a portion upfront and the remainder after harvest.
  • Input loans must be repaid within the agreed farming season cycle (typically 6–12 months).
  • Failure to repay input loans will result in suspension from the farming program and may affect other welfare benefits.
  • All inputs remain the responsibility of the member once delivered. The association is not liable for crop failure or losses.

Collective Farming

  • Members participating in collective farming must adhere to the group's agreed schedule, work plan, and resource sharing terms.
  • Proceeds from collective farming are shared proportionally based on each member's contribution of resources, labour, and capital.
  • Disputes within collective farming groups will be resolved by the association's Dispute Resolution Committee.
